EASA modular course

The 650 hours theoretical knowlege course is primarily distance based, followed by 65 hours groundschool at our campus in Oslo. 

Prerequisites

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Hold at least a PPL(A) issued by EASA/FAA/ICAO
  • Have completed 13 years of basic education or equivalent knowledge satisfying the university admission certification (generell/realkompetanse)
  • Show evidence of an English language proficiency assessment equivalent to at least ICAO Level 4

Is the course conducted in English? 

The ATPL(A) course and all associated learning material is in English

Do I have to take the EASA exams in Norway? 

No, you can sit the exams in any EASA member state. OFA will assist with registration in other member states

Is the classroom instruction a "must"? 

Yes, according to EASA regulations, a certain portion of the ATPL(A) course must be conducted by an instructor in a classroom setting. 

Can you provide classroom instruction outside of Norway?

Absolutely, depending on demand we are able to accommodate group of students in other parts of Europe. Contact us for more information.

Do I need to have my PPL before signing up for the course?

Yes, an EASA or ICAO/FAA PPL(A) is a prerequisite prior to enrolling into the course.
