Do you hold a PPL(H) and wish to expand your horizon? Perhaps work as a helicopter Flight Instructor? Then the CPL(H) is the right course for you! 


  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Hold at least a PPL(A) issued by EASA/FAA/ICAO
  • Show evidence of an English language proficiency assessment equivalent to at least ICAO Level 4

Is the course conducted in English?

Yes, the CPL(H) course and all associated learning material is in English

Do I have to take the EASA exams in Norway?

No, you can sit the exams in any EASA member state. OFA will assist with registration in other member states

Is the classroom instruction a "must"?

Yes, according to EASA regulations, a certain portion of the CPL(H) course must be conducted by an instructor in a classroom setting.

Do I need to have my PPL before signing up for the course?

Yes, an EASA or ICAO/FAA PPL (H) is a prerequisite prior to enrolling into the course.
